Cinq \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont pass\u00e9 4 semaines dans des magasins traditionnels \u00e9cossais\u00a0: chacun a appris \u00e0 conna\u00eetre les produits typiques et a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 ses capacit\u00e9s d\u2019adaptation personnelles, professionnelles et linguistiques. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de Terminale Bac Pro Commerce de Ste Th\u00e9r\u00e8se t\u00e9moignent en anglais et en images\u00a0!<\/strong> \"Capture\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Welcome in Scotland !<\/strong><\/p>\n

EVER<\/strong> : \u201c This experience really was very important for me because it was serious. I could acquire more solid bases in English. I also was on my own. I managed my budget. I travelled alone in a big city. But this experience also allowed me to fill in my CV and helped me find work more easily. I could never forget the persons I met in Scotland and I thank them hugely for everything they did for me<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

HELOISE<\/strong> : \u201c I would like to say I\u2019ve really enjoyed this month. I\u2019ve met great people. My colleagues, even made a \u00ab bible \u00bb for me with the best pubs in the city, the cheapest ones and some clubs for students ! For me, it was a great experience which I will never forget. This month has gone so fast!! My boss said I could come back whenever I wanted for a holiday (especially during the Edinburgh Festival in August) or to work there\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Scotch Whisky Experience Museum !<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

MATHIAS :<\/strong> \u201cFor the first time I\u2019ve worked in a foreign country. I started my training period by a visit of the store and I\u2019ve watched a video on safety. Later I\u2019ve spoken with the manager and he organized my timetable for the week. He said to me \u201cyou will discover all parts of the store\u201d so for me it was perfect.<\/em><\/p>\n

The first week, I started in the dispatch room : this is where we received all the deliveries and prepared them to the sale. It was very physical as we organized the stockrooms. I carried boxes upstairs into the stockrooms. There are 4 stockrooms : 1 on each floor sometimes it was very tiring.<\/em><\/p>\n

The second week I started to find a kilt for myself. The employees helped. I chose the Mackenzie tartan. I worked on the shop floor so each day I was wearing a kilt. I tried to sell products but it was difficult so to improve my English I\u2019ve spoken with employees about the country products. I\u2019ve learned a lot about Tartans, Scotch Whiskies, History, Clans.<\/em><\/p>\n

The last 2 weeks I sold different sorts of products but the principal one was the cashmere sweaters and scarves. I\u2019ve also sold a bottle of whisky and a famous Harris Tweed jacket made in Scotland. I did a very good training period.<\/em><\/p>\n

The first days were difficult as all was different and sometimes we didn\u2019t understand the customer but this work experience was perfect. Each day I\u2019ve discovered something new. I\u2019m fully-satisfied. This work experience couldn\u2019t be better. I\u2019ve improved my English, and saw another way of working. Working in a souvenir shop is a very good idea because it is the best way to learn about the country.<\/em><\/p>\n

As for accommodation, Edinburgh was all perfect. I\u2019m really lucky : it\u2019s a real chance, I think, to do an experience like this. I thank all the people who helped me for this month Joan, my school, my manager, and my colleagues\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n

We were\u00a0proud to wear the kilt in our workplaces !!<\/strong><\/p>\n

RAPHAEL :<\/strong> \u201d I think this training period was in a very good experience for me. I’m really happy that my school sent me into Edinburgh.<\/em><\/p>\n

I really loved Edinburgh which is a beautiful city with amazing stories. This is very clean compared to France. People are really nice. I will remember my whole life.<\/em><\/p>\n

I gained self-confidence. I kept in touch with my workmates and my host family because I intend to return there.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
